Land Hub

While a lot has been researched about land issues and the land relations has been explored and continues to get explored by academicians, journalists and civil society actors, an in depth understanding of land acquisition processes and practices is needed. With changing land relations and developments surrounding land laws it is of immense importance to see how land acquisition is being performed in everyday affairs by land acquisition and revenue bureaucracy.

Urban Hub

The ongoing process of urbanization can work better for all if its private properties and commons are managed in coordination with its citizens’ collective interests in meeting the commonly agreed basic needs, while also resisting the encroachment by state, profit interests of corporates, and other forces of privatization and globalization-from-above. PRC takes up initiatives to bring a transition towards a resilient self-sustainable city.
PRC’s working group on systemic alternatives will synthesise the ideas and scholarly research on alternative models of development, systematize the state of the art, update theories with recent findings in the global south region, and publish cohesive proposals and commentaries to help create infrastructures for radically egalitarian and resilient urban systems. This work will also help PRC in its preparations to learn from and contribute in the emerging global urban movements for radical alternatives.
